About Brass Monkey Chains

ABOUT BMC

Brass Monkey Chains makes quality bracelets, necklaces, and earrings using chainmaille. We can make almost anything and use practically any colors that you want. These pieces of chainmaille jewelry are unique, beautiful pieces of art!

Brass Monkey Chains was started as a way to raise awareness and support for epilepsy. Our daughter has epilepsy and part of the proceeds from every sale goes to the Chelsea Hutchison Foundation. The pieces of jewelry that we make are made by hand and are a labor of love from us. They are unique, beautiful pieces of art that will certainly get attention and have people asking about them. We can make any of our bracelets, necklaces, and earrings in any color combination that you want and with any specifications that you may have.

ABOUT NATALYN

Natalyn started having seizures in 2011 and was not diagnosed with a seizure disorder until 2012. Since then her seizures have gotten worse and now she has been diagnosed with intractable seizures meaning that no medications will help her seizures. We are currently raising money to get her a seizure response dog to help her in her daily activities. Even though she is little, Natalyn will not let her seizures define who she is and who she is going to be! She is a beautiful, smart, funny girl who loves her sisters and her family. She is a role model for kids and we couldn't be prouder to have her as our daughter.

ABOUT THE CHELSEA HUTCHISON FOUNDATION

The Chelsea Hutchison Foundation is a Colorado non-profit corporation formed by Julie and Doug Hutchison to provide help and support to individuals, particularly children and young adults, who have epilepsy. The main focus is to raise funds to provide grants for seizure-response dogs. These trained service dogs may be able to detect an oncoming seizure and provide warnings and/or respond after the onset of a seizure. The Foundation also provides Emfit movement monitors and grants for SmartWatch monitors for those in need. The Chelsea Hutchison Foundation is named for Julie and Doug's beloved daughter, Chelsea, who died in her sleep during a seizure in April of 2009. SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy) was the cause of her death. During the 6 years that Chelsea had seizures, no one ever told the Hutchisons a seizure could take her life, other than through an accidental fall or drowning. As a result of that omission, the Chelsea Hutchison Foundation informs those living with epilepsy of the risks and raises awareness of SUDEP so that no other families are blind-sided.
